To request to book online, use the book moving service tab and select the truck that is needed for your move size and how long you would like to request to reserve the truck and 2 movers (if unsure how long, use the online chat or call 614-670-9384).....It will pull up availability for that truck and rate.  Then, select an estimated arrival time and select request to book.  An easy form will pull up for you to fill out with some basic information about your move. 

***If an hourly rate is unavailable on the date that you select, there usually is availability with a flat rate.

Be sure to book for how long that you think the move will take.  The rate for overtime is $40 per 15 minute increment.

​

The arrival time is a 3 hour window.... so if you select 10am, the arrival will be between 10am to 1pm, with a 30 minute notice or a narrowing of the arrival window to 30 minutes.  The arrival window will be narrowed the day prior to the move.  Typically, especially with the morning appointments, the arrival will be in the early portion of the window. 

 

If you book for more time than you need (1 hour increments).  0% refund is given unless our regular rate of $160 per hour comes out less than your discounted rate.  If the $160 rate is cheaper than your rate, then a refund will be given for the difference.

***why no refund?  The $80 per hour rate is half our regular rate ($160) AND the truck and crew is not available or scheduled for another move during the time frame that you reserved.

When filling out the form, be as detailed as you can.  The branch manager will estimate how long the move will take and compare it to your requested amount of time.  He will usually have some follow up questions to your form to help give as close to an estimate of how long the move will take as possible.  He will advise if your time is adequate or you need more or less time.  He won't change your requested amount of time unless you agree, however, the move may be declined if it is obvious that you booked for under the amount of time needed (reasons for this:  will interfere with the arrival for the next move and some customers don't budget for the overtime fee... $40 per 15 minute increment... and don't have the money to cover it)  For example, if you request 3 hours and he thinks the move will take 4 or 5 hours, he will note this in his reply to your form and give you the chance to change the requested amount of time.

You may add a 3rd mover at the rate of $40 per hour.  To request the 3rd mover, use the bottom box of the form.

Once you submit the form to request to book, you will receive an automated copy of the email (if you don't receive it, then your email is wrong... if this happens, use online chat to notify the rep.  About 30 minutes after the form is submitted, you will receive a response from the branch manager with follow up questions or the quote.  The quote will have the exact same rate as selected, but it will also pass along a breakdown of the quote, insurance and company information as required by State Law.  Once you receive the email, just reply back with any questions or confirm.  No deposit is required with online booking.

We bill in 1 hour increments.  This is due to the rates are discounted from our normal rates.  Overtime is billed at $40 per 15 minute increment. 

​

The service is for loading, hauling and unloading, so if the movers finish prior to the number of hours booked, it does not mean that they will perform other services around your house for you.  Once they move what they have been contracted for, the service is completed.  Insurance does not cover side labor to do labor around your house.

Mileage is billed from our truck parking at 3260 Allegheny Ave to your addresses and back to our building OR from the move prior/after yours if it is closer than our location (the quote manager will advise of the cheapest appointment in regards to the travel fee).  If there is a 2nd trip, then the additional mileage will be added.  Mileage is for helping to offset the cost of the road time to/from your addresses, mileage on the truck/depreciation, fuel and other costs.  The mileage/travel fee also is partially based on move time, so as you go up in hours, the mileage/travel fee goes down.

Payment is due upon arrival at the 2nd address, prior to unloading, for the rate selected plus the travel fee.  If it is obvious that the move is going to go over the amount of time, the lead mover will estimate on how long and collect what he estimates as well (if the lead mover overestimates, then it is 100% refundable).  If he doesn't collect the estimated overage at payment time, then the overage is due at the conclusion of the move.  Payment may be made by cash, card (3.89% fee), or certified check/money order (payable to America's Choice)
